Hallo from South Africa! As I have already become adjusted to, what is known here as “South African Time” (the very opposite of fast-paced lifestyle back in the states) a full week has already passed by without my very first blog entry! To say ‘so far, so good’ would be a terrible understatement; South Africa unbelievable. The first and most obvious thing I have noticed is how stunning it is here. The natural beauty is literally indescribable. Words, pictures, video clips- simply nothing does any justice.
For the past week has been orientation for the new international students as well as incoming freshman. Alongside the meetings, logistics, and finer details of settling in and preparing for school to begin, we were also able to fit in some pretty neat experiences.
